I have a 2xC60 recycled cassette release on Gabriel Piller's fantastic label Knife in the Toaster.

Expect 23 tracks of oscillators, glitches and muffled drones, mostly jammed sketches and loops produced early in the morning using a mixture of electronics. They go up on the site sometime in the next couple of days. There is a very limited number of these being produced so grab them whilst they're hot!

Finally got 'round to housing a new Fuzz unit made by my mate David Eason. The enclosure is a reclaimed 'Terminal Diagnostics' unit which I dripped enamel onto - also made some quick A/B switchers to route some gear through... The Fuzz unit sounds amazing! Thanks again Dave!

Team Sports played a 2 hour set at Stefhan Caddicks 'Nihilists' show on the Sugar Loaf, near Abergavenny last Saturday night. We settled in a formation across a stream from one another in a plot of dense ferns after the half-hour trek from the National Trust car park. It rained a little but not enough to dampen our spirits or stop the show.
Stefhan's sculptures were amazing! there were 2 pieces which generated energy via wind powered and hydro-electic means.
Below are shots of one of the pieces taken on the trek back and the view from the plateau.
Oh, and I dressed up as a farmer for the event.

Rumour has it that the 'Stepdad was swallowed by a cloud of moths. Lucky for us he had the good sense to record his passage back to our domain. Perhaps unluckily for him he entrusted the manufacture and distribution of these recordings to Phantomhead and only 30 copies were produced. Slack.

It is part of a project run by the Bang The Bore forum whereby 20 members agreed to each record sounds/music/whatever and exchange with the other 19 on a specified date.

Western thunder blast! This is a very special wintertime mail collaboration between Cardiff’s Ian Watson (Sound of Aircraft Attacking Britain) and Bristol based dsic. Watson provided oddball mixer feedback outings and the results were churned/regurgitated back in Bristol nether-regions. The resulting dirge was split into two short sessions, the first easy/sleazy, the second as eyeball surgery. Phantom Dsic strays into some killer feedbacker territories and skuzz computing/electronics. The Phantom Scum cdr treads heavy water with cyclonic blasts of noise mayhem. Blackened vibes of doom ambient and digital gash bang heads in the best possible way. This is for fans of KTL, John Wiese, Kevin Drumm et al, and should thoroughly dispel the vibes of West Country/Welsh mellow good-times.
Disc one comes in black as ash card-packaging with weirdo digital-realist gloss art. Disc two in an obsidian-mirror clamshell, just like John Dee intended. Limited to 50 copies.

Mastered and ready for dressing-up nice is the first in a series of collaborative releases. This is a set of recordings improvised over 2 dates in 2005 between Myself and Richard Bowers (SAAB)...... Before SAAB met it's recent band type format.
7 tracks based around circuit bent Casio SK1's and electric guitar. Recorded late in 2005. Muddy glitch-loops and relentless, shimmering soundscapes.

Soon: PH session 3 Mark Jolliffe and Ian Watson. Light finger picked guitar and softened feedback wading through a swamp of glitches and explosions across open circuitry.

This release comes in a card wrap-around cover with paper dust jacket style wrap-around and wood effect paper binding. The paper jacket may vary but is generally printed graphics on geometric patterned paper.

3"CDr 'The Crack in the Light' showcasing some of the photography and sound sketches that have inspired the video work for the next set of S A A B performances. A sort of diary of the winter. Static shots of streetlights and tree limbs cut to a dark ambient soundtrack which was recorded in sessions at the ends of the journeys that the stills are taken from. Hand-made packaging featuring a paper binder and insert. Initially in a run of 25 copies for to friends of S A A B but more can be made according to demand. These are 2(old) experiments using Dictaphone, Casio SK1, Nanoloop. I recently rediscovered these whilst clearing out my computer and had forgotten how much I liked them although never really knew what to do with them.
I have burned 25 copies to go to anyone interested in swapping/sharing music or sound projects, just email me with your address and any other details at the Yahoo account linked to in my profile. Each copy will feature an individually illustrated fold-over cover.
This will hopefuly be the first in a series of limited releases for friends and those interested in sharing recordings of their music - I would like to encourage swaps and trades of cdr's as a way to regain the cost in postage.
I will start to post these out at the end of February as I intend to draw and print the covers according to demand.
As I am only pressing 25 of this edition (NOW SOLD OUT) posting will be on a first come, first served basis but there are future releases planned.
